Presenting Quoty

Quoty

For a long time I’ve wanted a way to categorize and store quotes that I like. I read pretty often, and sometimes I’ll come across a passage or line that I want to save for later.

I tried saving everything into a word document to search through, but that provide to be cumbersome and inefficient. So for a few weeks now I’ve been tossing around a few different ideas of what to do.

After a weekend full of coding, I’m excited to present Quoty! For those who are familiar with del.icio.us, Quoty works much the same way.

You can save your own quotes, search through quotes based on tags (keywords), quote content, or source. You can save other people’s quotes to your own collection that you would like to save.

Signup is disabled right now until I add a couple more features, but be sure to sign up on the notification list to be alerted when Quoty goes live (probably later this week)!

Quoty is sure to change the way I (and you) save quotes and book passages for later use in blog posts, church lessons, or emails. If you have any ideas on features I can include in Quoty, be sure to let me know!

    Seriously, Connor–
I don’t know where you are with your schooling, but if you’re (a) thinking up stuff like this, and (b) implementing it, maybe you need to think about a career in programming.

    Naiah,

šŸ™‚ I do this stuff for a living. I graduated from the Y in April w/ a degree in Information Technology. I do web design for the state of Utah and run my own freelancing biz on the side. So yeah, it’s right up my alley!

The other day I finally finished putting all my saved quotes into Quoty.

I now have 1145 saved quotes. Sheesh.

Time to do some exercises so as to avoid RSI… šŸ™‚
