We are Safer, but not Safe
I have a love/hate relationship with Jon Stewart, but this video clip just was begging to be posted:
Denial, anger, anger, anger, hanukkah, acceptance, and denial.
“America is safer than it has been, but it’s not yet safe”. Oh brother. So we continue using fearmongering so that people consider our current military actions necessary. And all the while, Halliburton profits.
“The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary.”
—H.L. Mencken

If I had cable, I would watch that show. He is one funny liberal. Even though I don’t agree with him politically I still can laugh at (good) jokes. The word -good- is up for interpretation mind you.
By the way, how is it that you have a girl friend that has a shirt that says I (heart) nerds? I thought I read that you didn’t have time for girls because you blogged to much. Good job in multitasking.
